CAPP 103 Quickbooks Fundamentals. 2 Credits

The course is designed for computer users who want a basic understanding of the capabilities of QuickBooks Pro and covers journal entries, customer and vender activities, payroll, and closing activities for both service-based and merchandising-based businesses.

Instructs students in fundamental computing skills. Concepts include the creation and manipulation of files, use of a common Operating System, a basic understanding of computer hardware, and a functional knowledge of common business applications such as: word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and email, and presentation software. The course is performed in a lab setting with access to computers and necessary software.

Further, students will be instructed in design techniques and how to give presentations.

Provides hands-on experience in word processing on the microcomputer using Word for Windows software.
